Guest presenter Rich Ankeney will provide insights and tools to assist you in reviewing your photographs to enhance their compositions.
Rich is an artist and photographer from Galesburg, Illinois, with over 50 years of experience in photography and a renewed passion for painting. His work spans various technologies, methods, and subjects, focusing on the fundamental elements of art and the mechanics of viewing. Rich draws inspiration from music, especially jazz, using strong color combinations to create rhythmic and harmonic energy in his abstract pieces. His art often manipulates line, form, and color to produce dynamic compositions.
Rich holds degrees in painting and photography, art education, and instructional technology. He has taught art and photography at Carl Sandburg College for over 25 years. His work has been widely exhibited and celebrated for its innovative approach.
Peoria Camera Club meets at the Life Together Center located in Peoria, IL at 3625 N Sheridan Rd (at War Memorial Dr), at 7pm. It’s the community center of the First Federated Church.
