Be inspired to capture the energy and passion of performers at live music concerts.

Bob Sheehan, our presenter

“I’ve been fortunate to spend 40 years as a photographer—working for newspapers, Tufts University, and my own studio. My career has taken me to many interesting places.

Originally from Milwaukee, I became serious about photography at the University of Wisconsin. After graduation, I moved to Boston for better opportunities, then returned to Madison to work for the USPS in communications. Beyond photography, I’m passionate about music, especially the Blues. Photographing concerts gave me unique access and lasting memories of talented, passionate musicians. These images remind me of the joy and artistry of live music.

I hope my photos inspire you to explore music—both from past legends and today’s artists. Experiencing live performances adds a special dimension that recordings alone can’t provide.”
